The Massachusetts School Building Authority (the “MSBA”) is pleased to provide you with an update on the status of the 2020 Statement of Interest ("SOI") for both the Accelerated Repair Program and the Core Program.
Staff completed recommendations for invitations into the Accelerated Repair Program (the “ARP”) at the December 16, 2020 Board of Directors meeting. As it relates to the Core Program, staff are continuing with the due diligence process and anticipate recommendations into Eligibility Period at a spring or early summer Board of Directors meeting.
Submitting an SOI is the first critical step in the MSBA's program to partially fund the construction, renovation, addition or repair of municipally or regionally owned school facilities located in cities, towns and regional school districts. The SOI allows districts to inform the MSBA about deficiencies that may exist in school facilities and how those deficiencies inhibit the delivery of the educational program.
