MSBA Announces Final Audit of 11 School Projects totaling over $15M

BOSTON—State Treasurer Deborah B. Goldberg, Chair of the Massachusetts School Building Authority (“MSBA”), and John K. McCarthy, MSBA Executive Director/Deputy CEO, announced today that the MSBA Board of Directors has approved final audits for eleven projects from 6 Districts totaling over $15 million in grants from the MSBA. The final audit stage is the last step in the MSBA building process and represents the successful completion and closeout of these projects.

“Every project undertaken by the MSBA is a step toward creating the 21st century learning environment that all Massachusetts students deserve,” Treasurer Goldberg said. “We are delighted to have made these important investments in Massachusetts schools.”

The Board approved the projects from the MSBA’s Accelerated Repair Program, which consist of repair or replacement to roofs, windows/doors and/or boilers. The combined grant value of the audited projects was $15,514,321.

“Approval of the final audits brings these vitally-needed projects to a successful conclusion, which benefits students all across the Commonwealth,” said Executive Director Jack McCarthy.
