Update to Completing the Project, Module 8: Division of Local Services Memo and Checklist of Final Closeout Audit Required Documents and Activities
New information has been posted to the MSBA's website to assist districts and their consultant teams in planning the closeout of their projects: Updates include a DLS Memo ("DLS Memo re Project Cashflows and Impact on Free Cash") as well as updated instructions/suggestions for submitting the final reimbursement request ("The following items are an integral part of the process of project closeout").
The DLS can be found here. The MSBA encourages districts to plan their project cashflow needs carefully during project closeout.
The updated instructions/suggestions for submitting the final reimbursement request can be found here. The following items are an integral part of the process of project closeout. To keep the MSBA apprised of progress on the project, copies of these items should be submitted to the MSBA as they are completed. However, the MSBA also strongly encourages OPMs to maintain all original forms and copies of materials to provide the MSBA as a complete submittal along with the hard copy of the final reimbursement request when submitted to the MSBA for payment. Incomplete submissions will be returned to the District, and will not initiate the Final Closeout Audit process.
